63. Cannes Film Festivali sonuçlandı. Altın Palmiye benim hiç tanımadığım bir yönetmene gitti ve benim için sürpriz oldu; Taylandlı yönetmen Apichatpong Weerasethakul'un 'Lung Boonmee Raluek Chat' (Uncle Boonmee who can Recall his Past Lives- Geçmiş Yaşamlarını Hatırlayabilen Boonmee Amca). Tayland bu filmle Cannes'da ilk defa ödül aldı, ne diyelim hayırlı olsun.
The 63th Cannes Film Festival awards are given. Le Palme d'Or went to a director I don't know and was a surprize for me; Thai director Apichatpong Weerasethakul's 'Lung Boonmee Raluek Chat' (Uncle Boonmee who can Recall his Past Lives). Thailand won the Palme d'Or for the first time, so it is all good after all.
Grand Prix ödülü, favori filmlerden birine, Xavier Beauvois'nın filmi 'Des Hommes et Des Dieux' (Of Gods and Men- İnsanlar ve Tanrı)'ya gitti.

En iyi yönetmen ise, 'Tournée' ( On the Tour- Turne) filmiyle Matthieu Amalric'e gitti. Daha önce bu filmi merak ettiğimi söylemiştim, şimdi merakım iki katına çıktı.

En iyi senaryo 'Poetry' (Şiir) filmiyle Lee Chang-Dong'a, en iyi kadın oyuncu 'Copie Conforme' (Certified Copy) filminin oyuncusu Juliette Binoche ve en iyi erkek oyuncular Buitiful'un oyuncusu Javier Bardem ve La Nostra Vita (Notre Vie- Hayatlarımız) filminin oyuncusu Elio Germano oldu.
